Upon graduating from CSU, Chico with his degree in Business Administration/Finance Jim went to work in the finance industry. After a few short years he made a life changing decision and decided to go to work for his father in-law in the STONE industry. Jim soon learned he had a passion for running the family business. He was able to put his degree to use as well as tap into his artistic side as he worked with clients. Over the past decade Jim has continued to stay onto of the industry standards and trends by attending trade shows and continuing education events. In 2011 Jim went out on his own and opened his own local family owned business, PURESTONE.

In 2017 after working as a Speech Therapist for 15 years Jim's wife Michelle left her field and joined Jim in running the business. You will often find their two children, Taylor & Thomas at the shop as well has their German Shepherd, Meika.
